libjasper-runtime software package provides Programs for manipulating JPEG-2000 files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libjasper-runtime
libjasper-runtime is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libjasper-runtime package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libjasper-runtime *
You will get with libjasper-runtime package name, version, architecture and description in a table
